What were you grateful for this week?Nice Italian Grandmothers that make you hot lemon water when you have a head ache. She is soooo cute.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?I got really homesick out of the blue and it bummed me out for a bit!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. My host father’s birthday was Saturday and I bought him a sweater. I was worried he wouldn’t like it but he seemed so excited and it looked good!
Tell us about your week! Wow the weeks feel like they are flying by. This week was fun because I got to visit Torino again on Wednesday. I think Torino is so underated. I went down the Po river to visit the Castello Valentino and the surrounding park. It was so great to get a little break from the busy shops and walk through the park. It was so green and really was wonderful. I also got to go out with some friends to a local festival thing. It’s basically a Peach days or little city weekend fair thing but there aren’t any rides or shops, just food and wine boths. Lol. But it was so fun just to go and eat some local dishes and listen to the music. And a few of the kids spoke English well enough that we could talk. It was cool to hear about how their schools work and I had to laugh because here you can’t drive until you are 18 so most of the kids had to get a ride from their parents. But when we were getting in the car of the girl who was taking us to the festival someone madea joke about her crashing. When I asked how long she’s been able to drive, they said one week and I was a little concerned and wished I knew how to drive a stick shift so I could have driven. But all was fine and I can’t wait to tell you about my trip to Milan next week!
