What were you grateful for this week? good food.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?exhaustion!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I brought back little gifts for the kids from my last trip!

Tell us about your week! This weekend, we didn’t have a set plan for where we wanted to go so I talked to my host mom and she suggested Verona! She told me it’s Italy’s hidden gem. We loved it!

Verona is the city of lovers, it’s where romeo and juliet takes place! You can go visit Juliet’s house and see the balcony that inspired Shakespeare, it was really cool! You can write a letter to Juliet and her “secretaries” will write you back!

Verona is a BEAUTIFUL city, it’s along the river and has some gorgeous views and it’s super close to Lake Garda which is stunning! There was some really good shopping and food and gorgeous sites. We had such a good time there!

On our first night it began pouring rain as H and I were walking back to our hotel and we had both forgotten our umbrellas, at first we ducked under some cover trying to figure out how to avoid the downfall but we decided to just embrace it and we had a lovely (soaking wet) walk back!

This whole experience has taught me to go with the flow, you can’t always control everything or even anticipate the outcome of every situation you’re in. we’ve gotten lost plenty of times and missed trains but I’ve learned it’s just all apart of the experience and these little inconveniences really aren’t a big deal at all!
