What were you grateful for this week?I was grateful for my host family that showed their trust in me this past weekend.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most difficult part about this week was the weather that couldn’t seem to make up its mind. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I had a wow moment when I went to the house of one of my host brother’s friends and watched 3 kids so that my host mom could have some time to relax. 

Tell us about your week! This week was really great actually. On Thursday some of the girls in my new Italian class invited me to go get food with them after class. We went to California Bakery and ended up spending a little over 3 hours there talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. I found out that one of my new classmates has the same birthday as me, which is tomorrow, and they all said that we should celebrate it as a class. I believe that tomorrow night we are all going to go to dinner together. 

This weekend my Italian family went to the mountains so I had the apartment to myself. On Friday I went on a walk in the park with my American friend, and then we went shopping for food and snacks. 

I asked my Italian family if it would be alright with them if I invited a friend or two over for dinner on Saturday night and they said “yes.” 

On Saturday evening my American friend came over and we watched a movie and drank wine together. After the movie we went to the store and bought more wine because we had run out. After that I made dinner for us and we had a lot of fun. 

On Sunday I went shopping with my Italian friend and then we got boba tea with aloe vera chunks. Then, we went to a mall and saw a movie in English in theater. Overall, my week and weekend was very fun and refreshing.
