What were you grateful for this week?

Sunshine.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Being okay with being stressed and things not going perfect.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I helped the housemaid with dishes when she was super sick.

Tell us about your week! The children didn’t have school on Monday or Tuesday so I got to hand out with them a lot more. I swear the housemaid said we were going to “go make donuts” with their grandfather, so I got really excited, hopped in the car, and before I know it we pulled into the McDonald’s parking lot. What a misconception.

I played make believe, watched Scooby-Doo, made sparkly crowns and crafts, and participated in a lot of puzzles and lego playing. It was a good week in helping the kids with English and we’ve read a lot of books and tried to have more one-on-one English time.

This week there was International Women’s Day, and it was awesome to see it celebrated worldwide!

I sketched a lot on my own and forgot how nice it was to just sit down and sketch and not worry about things.

This week was up n down with weather: from the rainiest days to the sunniest days, and from extremely rainy to sunny in the short period of one whole day. I went on a run around my house and saw blossoming trees with their flower petals sprinkling the sidewalk and floating in the air. It was like the sprinkles of spring! Growing up in Utah, spring is usually a season that just gets missed entirely so actually seeing it is a wonderful thing!

Saturday morning I woke up @4:45am to catch a taxi to the airport for my weekend trip to Malta. As soon as I arrived, I realized I forgot my passport, out of all things to forget. After talking with security and the police, trying to switch my flight, trying to buy the cheapest flight for later in the day, nothing was seemingly working out and I was very frustrated. I wasted a lot of money, time, and energy on a trip I never went on. I decided to take myself out for the day and spend too much money on myself, which is obviously the logical thing to do. I got an overpriced haircut, went to my favorite gelato place, and had handmade ravioli. The weekend turned out okay, considering what it was supposed to be. It’s okay that things sometime don’t work out, and sometimes you just gotta breathe and take a step forward!
