What were you grateful for this week?
Umbrellas.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The weather.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I played soccer with my kids.
Tell us about your week! This past weekend my best friend K and I traveled to Venice! It was absolutely incredible. Even in the rain, Venice left me speechless. It is crazy how there are no cars in Venice, but also makes it so cool. I love the vibe of the city and the landscape and architecture of everything. It is truly breathtaking!
Venice also had amazing food. We indulged on the most amazing risotto, gelato, and brioche during our stay. It was incredible! We also did some major shopping. The city has a bunch of cute stores with sea glass items galore. This made for great gifts to bring back for my family and friends 🙂 the people in Venice were especially nice as well.
Most everyone spoke English, and every person we encountered was extremely friendly! We stopped at this gelato shop and noticed that the woman working had a thick New York accent. We immediately made the connection and talked to her about her journey with moving to Europe!
She has lived here for over 13 years now and is opening her own gelato shop. It was so cool to connect with someone from America, and I can definitely see why she moved to Venice! It truly is one of the most incredible places I have ever been. You feel like you are walking through a dream when you walk through Venice!!
