Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.Taking care of 6 children instead of 2.
Tell us about your week! Okay SO. I am currently 4 days in to our 10 day vacation at the mountain house. And I would like to start off by saying that I am absolutely, entirely, exhausted. And also just as grateful. This is a bit different than anything I’ve done with the family yet, because we have a FULL house, the days are a FULL 24 hours, and I don’t really know what’s going on 90% of the time.
But, that being said, I am learning to push through my points of exhaustion and find all sorts of different ways to enhance my relationship with the kids. Every time I think I can’t make it better, it gets better. (Also every time I think I can’t get more exhausted, I definitely get more exhausted).
BUT SOMETHING INCREDIBLE HAPPENED. I’m able to ski here, and I finally got around to doing it!! I’ve been skiing since I was 2 years old, and this was the most fun that I have ever had doing it. I had this moment of intense appreciation for mountains and the ability to see them the way that you get to when you’re doing a snow sport. My body was also thanking me for participating in physical activity that’s more difficult than walking too and from my school every day. So for now, that’s all I’ve got. Exhausted, happy, and forever lost in a whirlwind of laughter, tears, and poop.
