What were you grateful for this week?Myself.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Being tired ALL THE TIME.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I did everything by myself (except for cook).
Tell us about your week! So this week, things started to change a bit more than they already have. [My host mom] has a very busy work schedule, and it is almost her travel season. So she was absent for most of the week. Obviously I had the help of the Grandparents, but I pretty much managed the whole show on my own, and I have finally solidly reached a point where I feel completely confident that the best that I am capable of doing is more than was ever expected of me, and I feel really good about that.
On Friday night, I hung out with T and a lovely boy that he has been spending a lot of time with. I really like spending time with T, him and I get along really well and he has already become someone that I am very grateful for. We didn’t do much because I knew I had a big day ahead of me (the parents were going out of town so it was just myself and the nanny).
The next day was probably the most classically Italian day I have ever experienced; I walked with the boys as they rode their bikes to Nonna’s house for lunch. I was blowing bubbles from one of those tiny bottles for Pietro because he thinks they’re so much fun, and we stopped at a pet store just to play with some puppies.
Then we went to a birthday party that was absolute chaos filled with tiny Italian children with their faces painted and I just had to stop for a second and appreciate that moments like that are straight out of a movie. But I experience them all the time.
