What were you grateful for this week?

This week I was grateful for sister and friends. Talking to them/facetiming them is such a highlight each and every week.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most challenging part of this week was trying to justify having gelato after dinner every now and then.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I’ve been trying harder and spending more times trying to figure out activities for me and the kids. So far they haven’t taken well to it, but I think with more time it will get better!

Tell us about your week! This week there was the olio olive festival in imperia. There were countless booths set up selling all sorts of things including lots of breads, cheeses, and flowers. I browsed the various shops for a long time yet the diversity caused me to never loose interest! It intigued me to see the interactions between the salesmen and the customers. After wandering about I sat outside at a cafe so I could people watch and sketch. It was a very charming afternoon. To top it off, I got some of the best gelato I’ve had here: mint chocolate and stratichella in the most amazing waffle cone. I was one happy girl to say the least. Much to my contentment, this week I’ve continued making art regularly. Deadlines for applications to college are rapidly approaching and I’m attempting to pull together a portfolio that they won’t be able to turn down. I’m a chronic procrastinator, but who knew that it only took me moving across the globe to get me to stop that? Seeing so many different things and places and people are inspiration enough to get me drawing, and add to that the reminder of a deadline and I’m all set.
