What were you grateful for this week?

Finding gifts for family members! What was the most challenging or difficult part of this week?

The most challenging part of this week was trying to get to church.Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. A “wow” moment this week was helping [my host family’s son] cook dinner.Tell us about your week!

This highlight of this week was when [my family’s son] and I cooked dinner on Saturday! He is quite the little star in the kitchen. We had previously cooked chicken fajitas, and they were a real hit…so when I asked him what he wanted, he decided he wanted tortillas again. So chicken tacos it was! We made a list of ingredients to buy from the store, then we went shopping with [my family’s son]!

We ended up having quite the dinner of chicken tacos, crepes, and roasted chestnuts. The family loved the dinner, and [my family’s son] was many compliments 😉

I showed the family “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole to show them how it talked about roasting chestnuts on an open fire. Previously that day, we had gone in a couple of Christmas stores, so I guess you could say it’s basically Christmas season over at this house 😉

On Sunday, K2 and I went to church. Usually they have English headsets so the meeting can be translated, but they weren’t available this time. So that was an adventure! [My host mom] was also very kind, and K2 was able to come spend the night on Sunday after church so that was fun too!
