What were you grateful for this week?Being able to spend a lot of time with [my host family’s daughter].

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Missing home.

Tell us about your week!

I’ve been having a lot of self realizations lately and this week I particularly learned a lot about myself!

[My host family’s daughter] was on holiday for school so we had a lot of time to spend together for a few days. We played games, read books, did puzzles and drew pictures. [She] would have me draw hearts and she would go in and color them and make them super unique it was really so cute!

My host family went to Tuscany for the weekend so I had a lot of free time. I’ve just been focusing on myself and doing things that make me happy! It’s been such a blessing to be able to take time away from the stresses of home and take time to think and do things that make me happy. I’ve learned so much about myself out here and I have such a better idea of who I am as a person.

When my host family got home and I saw h [my host family’s daughter], I swear she grew over night! She seems so much older now and it hit me that I’ve been here for almost my 3 months! So much has changed for the better and it’s amazing to see things come full circle! I’m excited to see how my last few weeks go and what more I come to learn about myself and my path. I can’t believe I’ll being going home in just a few short weeks. It sounds crazy but I almost can’t even remember my life at home.
