What were you grateful for this week?My bedroom. it’s separate from everyone and is a nice place to relax.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Being alone without my au pair friend!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I worked extra for three days. I didn’t mind it because the children are so sweet but it was a lot of hours.
Tell us about your week! Pretty much every day this week after school the kids would come home and want to make halloween decorations! It’s one of their favorite holidays so they are very excited. It’s also one of my favorite holidays so I was happy to help them out. Every day we would draw new halloween characters and color them, cut them out and hang them from the railing.
I was also asked to teach the younger one to ride a bicycle! We would go out a couple days and take her around the block. I don’t actually know how to teach someone to ride a bike and the only other person with me was the 10 year old boy, so it was an amusing time to say the least.
Saturday I was asked to work extra because the parents were both busy all day. When the older boy went to his soccer match, it was time for the daughter to take her nap, which she did not want to do in her own room, she wanted to do in my room! So we played in my room for a bit then got to snuggle and take a nap together, which was the highlight of my whole week!! Leaving this family is going to be heartbreaking.
For saturday night I went out to Milan. Since it’s halloween weekend a couple of us girls bought crazy colored wigs and glitter and wore them on a night out. Ran into some of our other friends that we had met the weekend before which made for a very fun filled night! Will hopefully get to go on a weekend trip this coming weekend, instead of staying in Milan.
