M2’s Wiggy Halloween Weekend in Milan

What were you grateful for this week? Halloween.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Staying in the house by myself.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Busy Tuesday, running around trying to get everywhere on time.

Tell us about your week!  Again, my week/weekend was spent in Milan. This was the week leading up to Halloween, so there were a few things going on that involved costumes and candy. And Halloween is my favorite holiday, so.

My Italian was a lot more difficult this week for some reason, so I had to put forth a little bit more effort. I made myself some flash cards and tried to get into the habit of writing down anything that I didn’t understand.

My family went away to their mountain house for the weekend, so I found myself in an empty home for a whole day for the first time since I’ve been here…and I can’t say it was the best thing that’s ever happened. It was so weird not hearing anything at all; there are always at least two people in the house at all times.

I was invited to go away with them, but C is leaving the week after next so I’m trying to spend as much time with her as possible.

On Saturday night, M and I went shopping for something to wear for a halloween bar crawl type thing, and we found these long brightly colored wigs for all four of us to wear. So myself, M, and C, met up with my friend from school (Merina), and we all wore these ridiculous wigs and ran around the city for the night. It was actually a lot more fun than I anticipated. But there is no country in the world that does Halloween like America does.
